About Us

The Estate

Built in the 1920s, this elegant colonial estate is perched high on the ridge of Princes Road in Suva.

One distinguished former owner was Fiji Airways Founder Mr. Harold Gatty who acquired this property in the 1940s and built the first-ever swimming pool in Suva on the estate and was popular for serving “silver service high teas”.

The property was transformed into an English Bed and Breakfast in the 1960s before being renovated in 2004 into a Boutique Colonial Estate Hotel.

The walls are adorned with art, carvings, and paintings from the Pacific's leading artists, the main house is welcoming yet full of interesting treasures.

The windows and doors open out to enjoy views of the lush tropical gardens and the deck wrapping around the backside of the property overlooks Suva Harbour- it's a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset.
